There is something fundamentally healthy about active children. Children who engage in sustained physical activity at school tend to engage better in their educational environment. This has also been demonstrated to improve behavior both at school and in the home. National standards recommend at least one hour of physical activity in children of all ages daily, which is exceeded at TDLD. Directed active play stimulates children’s thinking process and development. Any type of active play stimulates brain blood vessel development and intelligence. Between our indoor gym, outdoor play area, and weekly field trips, TDLD seeks to maximize this benefit.
